Compensation for goose attack victim
MELBOURNE – A woman injured while fleeing a gaggle of hungry geese has won a $125,000 compensation payout.Janet Ord suffered the potentially fatal Deep Vein Thrombosis after falling into a flower bed in an attempt to escape the goose attack during a walk through the National Rhododendron Gardens in Melbourne in 1998.
Mrs Ord, 42, said she was walking through the gardens when the geese came out of the bushes, knocking her over before bailing her up inside a toilet for 20 minutes.
